Some think it is 4.52 billion years and others think it is 4.55 billion years old.  It might be 4.546 billion year old. That is a 50 million year difference in the age of the earth.  That is HUGE.  Clearly, if the age of the earth cannot be pinned down to even within a million years it must be in dispute.

once and for all.

The earth is exactly 4,534,999,633 years, 197 days,  13 minutes, and 57 seconds old.

How do I know with such certainty?  Simple, Baby Jesus told me!!

• ##### When exactly?(0+ / 0-)

when he told me that? or when the earth was created?

Sheesh, how can we have a serious discussion with ambiguities like that hanging over our heads?

the foundation of a good lie is the details.

Thus a number like "10,000" is a dead giveaway to be incorrect - really, what's the chance that that earth's age is nice round number like that?  Not much at all (hence kudos to those who calculated the creation date to be at 9:13 AM on August 17th of 4004 BC (or something like) they were at least * trying * . . .).
