  •  Yes, massive direct hire jobs program, yes !!! (5+ / 0-)

Meanwhile, please do consider multi-tasking like many of us do.

Note that those children were allegedly sodomized in 2004 yet many of those who ordered torture run free.

The continued international effort to indict, arrest and prosecute Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld for their criminal acts continues to gather steam. Bush and company are worried and they should be.

Bush decided to cancel his trip to Switzerland last year after the media reported that Swiss authorities were unwilling to stop planned criminal proceedings initiated by two of Bush’s torture victims.

It is the combined efforts of all of us -- activists, torture victims, human rights leaders and progressive attorneys – that can make the difference. This is an international grassroots effort that will not stop.

    •  They not only run free, (4+ / 0-)

they are given time on tv and radio, and space in newspapers, they are their opinion and that opinion is given gravitas, and they are being made more wealthy than we can imagine.

    •  Been multitasking since middle school. (0+ / 0-)

I am concerned about all children starting with my fellow citizens first.

For example, there are tortured kids in this country. Some come from what look like nice homes on the outside. These kids end up on the street and are forced to survive on the streets because they there's no help for them. I will not apologize for helping those in front of me first.

I also care about child soldiers and child slave laborers. Did you know that there are child sex workers here at home that need to be rescued?

Just because some of us do not want to invest time trying to put Bush where he belongs doesn't mean we condone his administration's actions.

I helped out at a local food bank today and I can tell you that we are needed so very much here at home. We do what we must I guess.

help those you are inspired to help; why do you denegrate mine ?

Yes, child soldiers, like Omar Khadr who it took almost ten years to finally get back to Canada. I moved from Vancouver to Ottawa two years ago to help push the Canadian government in person to repatriate him.

My husband was a Vietnam vet who survived torture. Dan suffered from his injuries for over thirty years, until his fatal heart attack seven years ago. He was still waking up screaming the week before he died. I hear the screams of those who have been tortured every single day echoing in my ears, and feel their wounds in my bones, and their exhaustion in my muscles. Those are the ones who are right in front of me.

If you are able to multitask, as you say, all I ask is you send an email to your president, to your senators, and to  your congressional rep asking that they prosecute Bush and the others for the torture they approved. Silence, in this case, does equal consent.
