    criteria of fascism every one of them can be found in non-fasc ist govermnments too.

    The main criterion of fascism is the supremacy of the State over the individual. As long as the United States still affirms individual rights it is not fascist. It may of course be other things that are not desirable (oligarchial, etc.) but not fascist.

      sufficient evidence that the State is supreme?  It's not over here, but it's becoming more and more im*plicit; I don't think it has to be explicitly stated.  If it gets to the point that it *is explicitly stated that the State has supremacy over the individual, we're way past too late.
