…most of us in Texas would prefer to not live in a foreign country. Though I sure would love if secession caused a permanent rift in the GOP speeding our takeover of the state.

Teh stoopidTM, it hurts. Buy smart, union-printed, USA-made, signs, stickers, swag for everyone: Get your We are the 99% Yard Sign.

Go wander around Gettysburg, Spotsylvania, Fredricksburg, Antietam or a few other Civil War battlefields. Visit Andersonville.

See up close and personal what --and who -- was lost to keep this country intact. People suffered. They died. Their families stuggled to carry forward  so that we would inherit a country indivisible.

Ron Paul is a racist idiot who is dog whistling to a certain segment of the base.

If our forefathers and foremothers could keep this country intact through Civil War, through panic and Depression, I think we can certainly manage to fend off a few racist blow-hards whose panties are bunched up that they, like Jeff. Davis, are people whose time has come and gone and will be little more than a passing mention in history books.

I'm sorry, but the "let them go!" attitude is nearly as infuriating as those who claim they want to secede. It disregards the sacrifices made to keep the union intact and even more so, it utterly ignores the good work being done by progressives in those states right now.

So if you get hit by a bus tonight, would you be satisfied with how you spent today, your last day on earth? Live like tomorrow is never guaranteed, because it's not. -- Me.

The Civil War established the precedent and the Constitution, while it describes how a state can join the U.S., does not provide any mechanism for a state leaving. You do not want to create a new precedent. This is one nation, indivisible.

Ron Paul can always secede from the U.S. personally. A great many of us Texans would appreciate his sacrifice.

Absent Ron Paul leaving the U.S. we are just going to have to do the harder work of learning to get along. And yes, that will always be difficult with an arrogant libertarian.

The US Supreme Court has by its actions and rhetoric has ceased to be legitimate. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot - over
