    The Dust Bowl and told me things about it.  Just horrifying.

    He explained how many of the victims voted for FDR later because he tried to help.  

    I am glad to hear there is a bio of DFW out.  That is an interesting title.

      remarking on the timeliness of "The Dust Bowl," in terms of convincing the reluctant about climate change.

      For our conservative brethren who don't believe that mere humans can cause an ecological disaster, the documentary notes that, in less than 100 years, merely by getting rid of the buffalo grass and using bad farming methods, humans were able to cause the destructive dust storms that brought untold misery.

      On top of that, the documentary shows that, by a few government actions, the problem was actually reversed (at least temporarily) in just a few years.

      It's another example of how important a strong federal government is in coming to the aid of the several states.
