  •  But it may not have a happy ending. As I recall, (6+ / 0-)

the Lieut. Governor is a woman as crazy as he is but with a lot less national press.

    •  Rebecca Kleefisch (8+ / 0-)

...is the name of Wisconsin's Lieutenant Governor. She once claimed that legalizing gay marriage would lead to people marrying clocks and tables and has made many other controversial statements in the past.

Rebecca Kleefisch makes Sarah Palin sound sane.

I thought this was so pervasive in that office that the whole gang will go down with Walker.
Here in CT we had our governor removed over graft, served time. But his Lt.Gov. somehow was "out of the loop" even though that loop tied together every office around hers. And when Roland was taken out, she continued his bad policies, minus the graft, for several more years.

County Executive, leading up to the run for Governor. Kleefisch wasn't part of the county government. I don't think this will reach her, based on the information out there so far.

what's the likelihood of this spilling up into the Statehouse?

Governor's office right now. There's a reasonable possibility the same sort of activities happened there in relation to the recall, but that's pure speculation at this point. It's equally possible that, once he got into the Governor's office, Walker picked up some more experienced & competent handlers who knew how to keep the political activities separate from the public office.

but there is good reason to believe that if she had known about John Doe, she would have done something about it. One of the alleged activities involved placing negative comments about Kleefisch in online comment sections to fluff up Walker's secret favorite in the LG primary, Brett Davis.

          •  Important point you bring up there (0+ / 0-)

Rebecca Kleefisch may be a gaffe-prone wingnut, but she doesn't appear to be a crook. Her husband, Joel Kleefisch, called for the DNR to grant leniency to Herr Environmental after they were caught injecting more than three times the legally allowable amount of raw sewage in Jefferson County farm fields, but Joel and Rebecca are two different people, and hold two different elected offices (Joel is a state assemblyman who recently won re-election to the Assembly in AD-38, Rebecca survived an attempt to recall her from the Lieutenant Governor's office several months ago.)
