I find the forward very powerful as for its signaling re global warming issues at the World Bank.  Just those few pages are highly recommended reading.

    My post ends:

This report is a stark reminder that climate change affects everything. The solutions don’t lie only in climate finance or climate projects. The solutions lie in effective risk management and ensuring all our work, all our thinking, is designed with the threat of a 4°C degree world in mind. The World Bank Group will step up to the challenge.
To have the President of the World Bank write that “climate change affects everything” is, not just to me, a meaningful step forward in the global discussion space.

Now, as per your ending, we need to see whether the Bank President will translate this into ending Bank subsidies for polluting fossil fuel projects and agricultural projects that drive deforestration.

World Bank statement is meaningful step.

It would set an strong precedent to have Yong Kim and World Bank end funding of fossil fuel projects.  Wonder how we could get that to happen?
