i haven't really kept track of how long i've been doing eb, but it seems like i started it late spring - early summerish, so 6 months sounds about right.

i'm probably going to take thanksgiving off and probably the friday afterwards as i expect to be out having some fun.  if folks want me to, i can schedule a couple of music diaries for those days, but i won't be around to put in news or tend the diary.  i guess i'll put up a poll tomorrow to see if there's interest.

re: burma, america has rarely met a despot too awful to put up with so long as our economic interests are being served.  i'm pretty sure that tpp will offer such a good deal to our corporations that some nasty people and their stenchly henchmen will be gladly accomodated while they commit massive human rights abuses against their people winning hearts and minds for america of course.  then maybe a couple of decades later when the people are just about to burn the bastards out, the us can pretend the we had no idea of how awful these people were and the cia can install the new boss, same as the old boss.  lather, rinse, repeat.

    i'm part of the 99% - america's largest minority

the poll if I don't pop up tomorrow. I might lurk at night on Thurs & Fri if the diaries are up, else fine. It is important for us hippies to have some fun and recharge what with all the clusterfuck going around - austerity mania, Gaza etc.  Besides hanging out with friends, I plan to go to a couple of Palestine solidarity events and stop at the nearest Walmart on Black Friday when the strike is on to show support. HERE is hioping Black Friday turns into Red Friday both from capital and labor (I mean commies)  perspective.
