  •  The Washington Post editorial page (10+ / 0-)

has been been going right for a long time. I stopped reading it when they let Dan Froomkin go and replaced him with Chris Cilliza. They said Cilliza would bring a more balanced approach to their editorial page.
Froomkin's column detailed the reality-based facts of the first Bush term. He won awards for his insight.
Cilliza's column always reflected his rightward lean by use of false equivalencies. He won invitations to cocktail parties. I knew then that the WaPo was no longer concerned with facts.
This is why I am a member of Daily Kos, where reality trumps belief.

    •  Cilliza currently has a recurring gig on MSNBC (4+ / 0-)

on Andrea Mitchell's show, so he's won not just party invites, but a whole TV show on which to guest blather.

He's so tight with Mrs. Greenspan that when she isn't there, he guest hosts for her!

Most of what he says is just blather. I can't read his print column -- it's even worse than what he says live on TV.

      •  Cilizza is anti-choice & pro-torture (3+ / 0-)

He stood up for torture during the Bush years when he said that the majority of Americans were for it.

He stood up for Paul Ryan's anti-choice policies by saying that his economic policies would make up for this.  You see, abortion and birth control ONLY affect women. Snark.
