  •  Well, she's rolled a "20" a few times in the past (3+ / 0-)

Otherwise, we'd have dinosaurs running things.

Rolemaster, which is frequently called "Rollmaster" because virtually everything is charted out through the use of percentile dice (d100), dozens of modifiers and probably thousands of charts.  I'm pretty quick at math, but another player is great with the math and has mastered the charts so if he isn't there to play the game is sometimes cancelled because it's just hard to remember where everything is located.

We're all very accomplished role players as well, and we do spend most of the game talking rather than rolling, but there are some times the game just devolves into charts and dice.

in my group who was a total computer geek (he finally retired at 38 after inventing web hosting) who created wonderful charts and graphs and tables, which he gave to the DM's.  Anything we needed to know that was math based was available at a glance.

He also networked our laptops (after he retired) into a LINUX server we built so we could pass special messages and knowledge.

Having geeks is crucial to good gaming, as is having enough M&M's.

the dinosaurs tomorrow might be a day where the birds would be celebrating by eating the monkeys (a reverse over what we now do here in America).
