  •  Regarding Atwater, you DO know...? (11+ / 0-)

I remember reading Atwater's LIFE magazine mea culpa just before he died, and it was pretty convincing. I also remember hearing him talking about how he had found Christ in the last few months of his life. He did die a slow, painful death, and I don't blame anyone who was taken in at the time.

However, we now know it was all a fraud. Mary Matalin (yeah, I know, but she IS a dependable source regarding her old friend Lee) has said after he died, they found his Bible and it was still in the shrink wrap. So all that stuff about getting religion on his death bed? Just his usual spin, nothing more. And it should come as no surprise that he would lie about that on top of everything else.

Certaines personnes disent qu'il y a une femme à blâmer, Mais je sais que c'est ma faute sacrément.

Shambliss hasn't come close to even that level of fake contrition.

That is an interesting account, though.

The furor over Friday's [10.5] job report revealed a political movement that is rooting for American failure, so obsessed with taking down Obama that good news drives its members into a blind rage. -Paul Krugman
