    that you wrote this:  "People work at the school by choice because they are committed to making a difference in the lives of these children." You seem to imply that people who work at the public schools in similar neighborhoods are not there by choice or are not committed to making a difference.

    Your work is to be admired, but so is that of a whole lot of other people who are struggling to reach children in classrooms with these same sorts of problems and may not have the support that you do.

      the salaries are less and the hours are longer than in DCPS, which is why it is important that it is by choice.
