That doesn't make them right, of course, but people have been banned from Kos, too.

Now, usually our bannings and disappeared comments are based on community input rather than solely of Markos' opinion.  Plus, most of the hidden comments I've seen tend to be in some way abusive or vapid (or, usually, abusive AND vapid).  But I've also seen some that were not abusive, just statements based on a right wing viewpoint.

Now, no one comes here to hear right-wing talking points, and I don't lost sleep when they disappear.  But a lot of ratings abuse goes on on dKos, and I think we should be careful about patting ourselves on the back as of yet as champions of free expression and stalwarts agains censorship.

Note, none of this is personally directed at you, pacified (I've never known you to abuse ratings) - you just happened to touch on censorship when it was floating around in my head as I debated whether to "disappear" a pretty horrible comment in another diary.  I decided not to.

    •  on dKos censorship... (none)
I'd say the only thing that gets censored here from a "rightie" would be the blatant dis-regard for truth, and the constant repeat of GOP talking points.

The reason this is bad is the whole GOP argument right now is built on a pack of lies.  I'm sure the  GOP partisans would say the same about us, but that's just not true.

Also, the whole economic policies of the GOP are based on lies, or what GHWB called "voodoo economics", which won't be tolerated here if promoted in a rude and offensive way.  Hasn't supply-side economics been proven b.s. yet?

      •  Supply side (none)
Lolol.  That's funny to me because I asked my mom when I was about seven or eight to explain what the "trickle-down" theory to me.  I realized it was bullshit even then.

I think that EVERYONE who knows anything about economics knows that supply side is bullshit.  It's just that those who know, and can benefit, have a vested interest in pretending it's not, while those that don't know are intimidated by economic jargon and brainwashed by Rush.

While those of us that do know and won't beneft...I don't know...preaching to the converted?
