I think we'll muddle through, adapt, live on.   Not that this has much to do with the end of the world and environmental change - but...

I went to see Lincoln the movie the other day, awesome movie btw - but one of the things that I took away from it -

The House of Representatives was just as insane back then as it is today - it's always been, and probably always will be, the mentally disturbed step brother of the Senate.

As many things change as stay the same lol.

I'm sure there were an awful lotta people predicting doomsday back then too - me muddled through and we're a much better people and world today than we were back then.

I really think the same will be true 140 years from now :)

A little patience, and we shall see the reign of witches pass over, their spells dissolve, and the people ... restore their government to it's true principles.

or the species are a dime a dozen. However, that does not mean that such an occurrence will never happen.  Indeed, like the death of individuals, it is inevitable. Eventually the boy who cried wolf was presented with a real wolf!

People also forget that Cassandra was right - both she and Agamemnon were murdered!

However I would like to avoid hurrying it up!  I'd rather have collapse in a million years than in 50, or even a hundred.
