  •  Booker won't run. Christie will be too popular - (0+ / 0-)

doesn't make sense.  If Booker waited, he could even get Christie's support.

    •  Christie isn't that popular (2+ / 0-)

      Orlaine, the dogs sockpuppet

It's the afterglow of him working with Potus.
Democrats will overwhelmingly vote for Cory Booker.
And I think Cory is going to run.
Don't forget Chris Christie has alienated every teacher, policeman, fireman (pretty much all of our unions), he cancelled the tunnel into NY (which would have given us tons of jobs), he screwed up the paperwork to get federal dollars for education, the list goes on and on.

And when we were hit with a blizzard like no other, he took the last plane out to Disney. We don't forget.

We may stomach him now, but we will not forget what he was like just a day before the hurricane!

Republicans piss on you and tell you it's raining, Democrats hand you an umbrella!

Democratic candidate emerges, Christie will win.  The moderate Dems in NJ will not vote for Booker when they can keep Christie who is a known quantity.  People in the middle don't care that much about the unions - they care most about their tax burden - and NJ has a high one.  NJ public schools (except for the urban areas) are pretty good and they won't fall down much because suburbanites won't let it happen - I just saw Christie and Randi Weingarten on Morning Joe describing some kind of landmark agreement between the teachers union and the State on behalf of Newark - moderates will like this.  In addition, NJ is not as blue as people think and as we get closer to election time, Christie will be sufficiently moderate.  Booker does not inspire the same kind of intense loyalty among the black community that the President does.  I'm sorry to say this because I will be voting for the Democrat no matter what, but there is no way that Cory Booker will beat Christie - no way.  I doubt that Mayor Booker will even run.  I'd be happy to make a bet on this if we are both still hanging out on DKos come 2013.
