    That's the takeaway.  She's either out of her mind, or committed to do everything in her power to prevent Obama from succeeding.  There's no middle.

      a third possibility can't be ruled out based on this data, however: neither Feinstein nor Obama is very committed to getting much done this time.

      I really don't get it ... if I were president, even if I were the worst conserva-Dem, I would still want to appoint my people to judge, etc.

      I would think Obama would lean heavily on the Feinsteins of the world to defang the filibuster and allow him to accomplish something. Is he?

      it is all about Di Fi's little empire. A Senate in limbo and a GOP house suits the defense industry just fine.
