    A reasonable planning figure for US land-based wind installations, at this time, is 40% capacity. (Has been getting better with each year -- there are some facilities going in with plans/expectations of topping 50%. Improvements are combination of better technology and better planning/siting.) Off-shore wind is better.  E.g., using "overbuilding', plan about 2.5 to 1.  

    Think solar about 15-20% and you are in the zone of reasonable.
