I honestly believe that the Teabagging Confederates portion of the nation's baseball community is terrified to see our team take home the World Series trophy, plus the fact that this happened right before The Black Man got reelected by a rainbow coalition from hell. In both the World Series and the elections the losers and yes the pundits were left to ask themselves, "Holy crap- it's already over? Wait, what just happened??" And that was then followed by denial, anger, etc. Still waiting on acceptance in some cases...paging Mat Latos.

For those who know, this Giants team embodied how teamwork and shared responsibility are the best recipe for success, especially when times are tough and you've got to bounce back against all odds under extreme adversity (see: "Posey, Buster").

We've got at least one avowed pot-smoker, a proto-DREAMer, and a medley of ethnicities and backgrounds that really does our region's diversity proud. And these Giants are going to be good for the foreseeable future too.

So for those SF Giants faithful who like to conflate politics and baseball we can safely say: our opponents should be afraid. Very afraid.
