    who has served 60 years for 2 murders despite being convicted in the midst of blatant police and media misconduct.  Now wheelchair bound and almost blind from diabetes, it appears he will not receive parole because he continues to protest his innocence.

    (I may have tangled some of the facts) However, as many as 10% of prisoners may be innocent of the crime they are imprisoned for, but for parole, you have to express remorse and contrition for your crime.  It is a Catch-22 because how can you maintain your innocence and at the same time express contrition?
