choice but to buy the cheapest possible...where ever it is sold the cheapest.

If you are a single mom with 4 hungry kids...quality and American made are the absolute last thing on your mind.  Dirt cheap, is all you care about....when it comes to clothing your kids, putting food on the table and putting shoes on their feet.

Black Friday might represent the only chance you will have to give those kids a present....so you will fight someone for a 10 dollar doll or a 50 dollar game or whatever....because if you don't succeed...they don't get a Christmas gift that they want for a price that you can afford.

I know, because I have been there.  Thank God, those days are over, but I have traveled the journey.  My kids were never hungry, nor was a single...but poor... yes, we were.

an impoverished single mother feeding and clothing her children the only way she can. It's the people who would rather have drawers and drawers stuffed with cheap clothing that falls apart in a few months, rather than buy a few more expensive, well-made pieces that will last.

      •  That's their choice (0+ / 0-)

Sometimes you just need something cheap because it doesn't need to last too long.  Sometimes you want to buy something quality.  You can't make people's choices for them.

History will be kind to us because we will write it.

on sale or at a bargain.

Clothing has very little resale value and so I see it as completely asinine to pay 50 dollars for a blouse that will be worn under a jacket in an office environment.  A black skirt, is a black skirt...whether it is 20 dollars or 200 dollars.

Almost all clothing will last, if you care for it well.  Wash delicately, dry only when necessary, only wash it if its dirty (like a dress worn for an hour at church)

I work in a very professional field and always look the part but am glad I can do so by spending my money wisely.

The only item of clothing I pay good money for it shoes, because they really will fall apart if they are cheap, and perhaps a coat, that you what to be thick and heavy.
