  •  If you want Wall Street running the place, (0+ / 0-)

have at it. Methinks we need someone a bit heavier to win after 8 years.

    •  i'm as Left as one can get (0+ / 0-)

      but I'm also realistic.

Until Congress actually steps up to fight Wall Street by ending Citizens United, etc., we are going to have to play it safe running a wall street candidate in the mold of the Clintons and Obama, as they've shown to be largely on our side of the issues.

We aren't going to be able to use the 'Bush/Republicans broke the economy' argument for sure in 2016, and if the GOP actually runs a charismatic, photogenic candidate & Citizens United isn't dealt with, we're really going to be in for a big money fight that no non-Wall Street candidate can survive.

It would be nice to run a real liberal, non wall street candidate, but I'm not sure America is quite ready for one yet. As great as Obamas victory was, Romney only won by a few  popular votes when it shouldn't even be that close. There are that many stupid people out there, A liberal, non wall street candidate would have to be fierce & charismatic enough to cut through all the big money and right wing stupid thrown at them to survive an election.
