has  been used for decades by their arab neighbors to distract their own populace from bad home governance.

Most of the "refugees" were never granted citizenship in the countries they fled to.    Nor were their children who were born in those countries.    Their hate & anger was carefully taught and nurtured.  They were often kept in refugee "camps", segregated from normal lives.

How do you undo over a half a century of neglect?  Do you think Egypt wants to open the door to this crowd of angry abused fellow humans?

Arab spring had a lot to do with lack of hope among their own citizens  --- lack of jobs etc.    Turning angry Palestinians loose into their population, to compete for same resources, could be the spark that turns everything violent.   Jordan never did. Lebanon never did.   How would Egypt be different?

What will it take to undo their trauma?

    •  Only Lebanon completely refuses. (0+ / 0-)

Many have long been recognized by Jordan as citizens.

1.9 million refugees live in Palestine.

1.9 million live in Jordan, where all but 167,000 are citizens and the rest are eligible.

That's more than two thirds of them.

Has it occurred to you that maybe their anger genuinely stems from someone driving them from their homes and stealing everything they had?

"Turning angry Palestinians loose into their population"

You couldn't talk about many other Peoples on the planet this way, at this site, without a stack of HR's.

      •  So you're saying they're justifiably angry (0+ / 0-)

but it's HR'able to call them angry?

        •  "They". "Them". "Those People". (0+ / 0-)

It would be so unfair to burden anyone with those angry, angry dangerous people.

          Give it a rest.
