    I mind not getting fair market value for it.

    And I REALLY mind that my partner's labor is so devalued by the market. He should be making twice what he does, but his $BigCompanyEmployer does everything they can to screw their line-worker employees. (Not Wal-Mart, by the way - and I am not revealing who, because I don't want to get him in trouble.) When he heard yesterday that the average wage of a Costco worker was $17 an hour, he said "Hell, why aren't I working THERE?"

      your partner can find better money soon somewhere else.

       I remember when I first went from a non-union to a union job on 1977, and my pay almost tripled overnight ($3 to $8/hour), for doing less work.

      I felt like I'd entered an alternative universe.
