I am late to the party. dang it.

Ms. Avila what a wonderful diary. thank you so very much for this great topic.

I had a couple of recent events that brought this very thing home for me.  I went to go see Cloud Atlas at the theater.  I went early found THE perfect seat and prepared to see the movie... as the theater began to fill up a lady asked me if I would move so that her party could sit together.  I said nope, sorry I am not going to do that; not today.   My nature is to always say "why sure no problem" but  for some reason this one time I said no. I amazed myself.

They for the first time in my life, while walking with my adult daughter, I had to ask her to slow down; that SHE was walking too fast and that he Type-A pops (me) needs to slow down and not walk so fast..... first time EVER in my life that happened. laughs

Managing stress is something I am still learning about.  I must consciously do on an constant, ongoing basis so that I manage this pain in the ass disease and how my body works these days..... pain in the ass that it is too

Life is not a problem to be solved but an adventure to be experienced.

Sorry to miss you last night, DH98. Glad to hear that you are better.

I'm seeking to organize DKos members in SE Michigan--roughly, from the Ohio line at Lake Erie NE to Port Huron, W to Flint and back S from there. If you'd like to join our new group, Motor City Kossacks (working title), please Kosmail me.

what a delightful comment, and i'm so happy to have the chance to talk with you, DarkHawk.  i've seen you here before and enjoyed your writing more than i can say.

well, you gave me a good laugh about the lady at the theater.  ;)  i agree completely.  why should you have to move if you're where you want to be?  did you enjoy Cloud Atlas?  i haven't seen it yet but want to.

for your very kind words.  I am pleased that you were able to take some small measure of enjoyment from my simple writings.   I have so enjoyed this conversation as well.  It has helped me stay on task these past few days.

I did enjoy Cloud Atlas. It is an "artsie" movie. Pretty eclectic but enjoyable.  You need to  be studious and pay attention all the way through and the dialog is important. So if you are just feeling like a simple "lil brain candy"  you will disappointed if you are looking to exercise your mind then you will enjoy it.
