    I think it's great, probably several Oscar nods in the offing.

    The politics were interesting, the difference in decorum in the House then vs. what we see on CSPAN was delightful. Stephen's dressing down of Coffre (?) and telling him how things were going to happen to assure his return to Congress and how he was GOING to vote on the amendment was a classic.

    I think the final speech was actually Lincoln's Second Inaugural Address (With malice toward none; with charity for all).  That would explain it happening at the (modern) Capital building.   Doesn't explain the rustically dressed black man just over his shoulder.
