  •  After simmering for a few days, my thoughts (19+ / 0-)

whilst I didn't cry, I did enjoy the language, the banter, the call-it-like-I-see-it lines that made me laugh out loud in a few places.

The language was splendid.  Why don't we educate our kids to have vocabularies?

The banter in the house was hilarious!

Lincoln and Mary had a very 'real' relationship.  He loves her but is fed up at times and I thought the threat of the mad house was wonderful.  I've been promised to be moved to a place like that myself.  Women often have issues.....that will drive ourselves or our mate .....well...mad.

The three stooges/operatives show what's necessary to get things done.  Karl Rove must have memorized their parts.

Best line..."So what will come of your people?" Lincoln asked Mary's maid.

Being an AA female, it was hard to watch white men argue as separate issues the right for Blacks to a) be free   b) vote  c) be considered equal to whites.
