    disappointingly dull, despite being very interested in the subject matter.  But that's just me

    I've seen him in some other things since then though.

    Wonder how many people know Seward barely survived an assassination attempt of his own the very night of Lincoln's death (part of the same conspiracy).

      disappointing, despite Straithairn's performance.   For movies about TV shows of the same era, "Quiz show" was much better.

      The GOP: "You can always go to the Emergency Room."

        It was a pointed commentary on those times, and the way they silenced and ran over anyone who opposed them.

        I suddenly personally understood the McCarthey era, where before it had been an insane-seeming episode. Then I was living through it, seen as not a 'real American' as I helplessly watched  the country go to Hell.

        Just MHO.

        Life is a school, love is the lesson.
