  •  When I was a kid, it was the box. The big (3+ / 0-)

    cardboard box that whatever came in.

    You play with the box first, it's a car, it's a fort, it's what you slide down snow-covered hills in until it's not a box anymore. Then you play with whatever came in the box.

    I got to relive that feeling in my 30s when I was at a party with a bigger box. I took a steak knife and put slightly-less than waist high holes in a cocktail-bar refrigerator box. There I was, a little boy again, with my little box-fort, playing with whatever came into the box...

    I don't feel we did wrong in taking this great country away from them. There were great numbers of people who needed new land, and the Indians were selfishly trying to keep it for themselves. -John Wayne (-9.00,-8.86)

      Kids always love the box best.  

      I always save my giant boxes for the grandkids ;-)
