    Wasn't much of a rant, it's true that we never repair, always replace.  Although I wonder if the repair is as costly as the replacement.

    Your story would be a very interesting diary.  Thanks for sharing a bit of it.

      Depends on how you figure the costs: If your labor is cheap (as in, a person doing their own repairs), time is not money. If you consider the total resource cost of tossing a mostly good board and replacing it, that gets expensive.
