I just happen to also blog.

The internet is a tool. It just shouldn't be used as a replacement for interpersonal relationships.

The future is just a concept we use to avoid living today

    •  To quote you... (9+ / 0-)

"Because of the Internet, we no longer interact personally with each other, preferring such faceless applications as Facebook, Twitter and even blogs to express our thoughts."

I assumed that statement was in fact what you meant.  If you didn't mean it, the rest of what you've written does not hold.

What you have just said is that people who are on the internet have no problem getting out and interacting personally with other people.  Or is it only other people who have this problem?

      •  OK, you're right! (0+ / 0-)

That is what I said. "No one goes out an interacts personally any more. We all just sit around in front of our computers and interact via the anonymity of the internet."

        That is except for me.

Obviously, at least to me. I wasn't speaking in absolute terms, and my mistake was assuming most people would have inferred that

        My bad!

The great irony of this post, of course, is that the diarist felt he had a point to make, about teh ebil tubz, and posted a diary on Daily Kos to make it!
As you so correctlty point out, if he genuinely believed what he writes he'd be practicing what he's preaching, out in the public park, soap box and all.
But that wouldn't reach enough ears apparently.

was saying Obama couldn't interact with people properly, because the internet.

Since I was giggling too much to try to argue that one, and the diarist wasn't replying to those arguments, anyway, it was easier to go after the announced premise.  Much more fun to play with logic, too.
