  •  We did not get our Normal Autumn Rains... (9+ / 0-) in Central Ohio. Usually we have several day-long gentle soaking rainstorms in this area, as well as several thunderstorms during the month. I haven't checked to see how far below normal we are...I'm almost afraid to look.

    When I was in college (30+ years ago) we would have two to three day rains in October. I don't remember the last time we had those.

    If the normal amount of rain/snowfall doesn't happen this Winter, next Spring is going to be dire.
