    facts not in evidence - that Noonan knows how to read polls at all.

    My guess is that she meant exactly what she said - that lots of people were planning to vote for Romney, but not telling people who asked.

    I don't expect she even thought about who they were.

      What Noonan doesn't like is the overall challenge to high-end pundits setting the narrative based on nothing in particular except the narrative they wish to set. Just like idiotic talking heads talking about non-predictive, non-fact based theories like cutting taxes to raise revenues.  Spending years learning statistical methodologies and creating computer models is really boring, hard work, when she can whip off a story on her computer, email it to the Washington Post, and then off to a Georgetown cocktail party to bask in the glory of being a beltway insider. Really, this was about her species being threatened. About the privilege to make unfounded claims and pitch it to a naive and adoring public.
