  •  What does this even mean? (12+ / 0-)

He will allow people to have the opinion that women should have the right to choose, but his opinion is that women should not have the right to choose?  Gee John, that is mighty big of you.  Such a big step away from your previous position of being against a woman's right to choose.

I guess the only lesson the GOP learned from this election is that they have to use a more confusing and deceptive tone to get people to vote for them.

    •  That's why they're annoyed with the more explicit (15+ / 0-)

members of Team Rape: Akins and Mourdock told the truth, and if they tell the truth... People won't vote for them.  It's not like the rest of the forced-birthers feel any differently, they're just better at hiding it behind rhetoric like this.  Look how many of them cosponsored the "forcible rape" bill, and a host of others. Look at their goddamned platform.  THEY BUILT THAT.

Yeah, you can have your own opinion, and even share it in public. But they're still going to vote for forced birth.

      •  They're simply going to return to stealth tactics (4+ / 0-)

Thanks to Akin and Mourdock, et al, we were accidentally allowed to see inside the Republican's trojan horse.  Their goals for America and especially America's women are monstrous to behold.

Now, they'll simply cover it all up again and think we won't remember what we've seen.  Unfortunately, it's a tactic that has worked for them for many years and will work again if we don't fight them tooth and nail.

The tactics they'll return to are blatantly stated in the words of Ralph Reed, one of the slyest leaders the Christian Coalition has ever had and part of the "triumvirate" with Grover Norquis and Jack Abramoff:  "I want to be invisible. I do guerilla warfare. I paint my face and travel at night. You don't know it's over until you're in a body bag. You don't know until election night."

To stand in silence when they should be protesting makes cowards out of men. -Abraham Lincoln
