    My personal preference would be:

    "With all due respect, Mr. Cantor, no means no. You clearly are more interested in pleasing your base then in moving this country forward, so frankly we're done talking. Come back if and when you are serious about this."

    It means the exact same thing, but makes them look like pricks instead of us.

      I am saying NO you can't be nice with them and have an expectation that you will get what you want.

      I think their aggression should be met with aggression. They should experience dems telling them to go fuck themselves: that's pretty much the GOP attitude towards Dems. Dems just lap it up and keep asking "please and may I?"

      Somebody needs to tell Cantor to fuck the fuck off. Not say please and sir to him.

      And I don't really care if we "look like pricks" so long as we get what we actually and truly need. We need to win, here, not enjoy a useless compromise.

      I suppose I will now here how half a loaf of stale bread is better than no loaf at all when we had first wanted single payer healthcare.

      Fuck that shit.
