      anyone here. It may be that their training is the same or better than other stores. Maybe it is worse. Maybe their policies are terrific; maybe they are horrible. There is just no way to tell from the scant information presented here.

          The diarist and supporters are claiming, implicitly or explicitly, that WalMart has an abnormally high rate of shoplifter deaths.  All doc2 is providing perspective.  The case would have been a lot stronger with statistical rather than anecdotal evidence.

          I say this as someone who'se worked as a rent-a-cop and have been appalled at my former colleagues misunderstanding of the basic legal principles.  I wouldn't be surprised if Walmart were worse than most given how they treat their employees in general, but I'm with doc2 in that the diary hasn't provided convincing evidence of this.
