behavior that brings us "Heckuvajob" Brownie in charge of FEMA.

I used to think they did it to destroy things, you know, appoint people who will destroy an agency that they didn't like to begin with.

I'm beginning to think that at least part of the time it's more about seeing the government as some sort of frathouse piggy bank where they can award their buddies with ambassadorships and agency directorships, and enrich themselves and their friends and set themselves up for when they're no longer in office.

Okay, it's always that - but I thought there was some sort of deliberation, you know, let's put the corporate guy in charge of Labor, and the polluter attorney in charge of EPA, or whatever.

I don't even think they consider this deeply.  I think they just don't give a shit what the impact is, good or bad, as long as their friends make money.

I mean think about it - these clowns KNOW that Obama has a kickass ground game, that they really need to have their fucking act together to come anywhere near the success of OFA.

And yet they use their HUGE election warchest like a free for all, as a vehicle not to get their man elected, but to line their own pockets whether they deliver a good product or contribute to the success of the campaign at all.

Sure that's what they would do to the government if they got into office - line their pockets, appoint incompetent people, fail and fail and fail to lead the country in any positive way - but you'd think they'd play a better game when the pot is full of money to get them elected.

Well another example where they get what they deserve, hoist on their own petard, and illustrate by their own failure why we don't want them anywhere near the WH.

Even if I were one of the vultures that gave these assholes money, I'd be pretty fucking pissed off that they wasted it making their incompetent friends rich instead of hiring effective companies to get them elected.

Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek. Barack Obama

So if you get hit by a bus tonight, would you be satisfied with how you spent today, your last day on earth? Live like tomorrow is never guaranteed, because it's not. -- Me.
