    Public attack on his character.  Defamatory, in my book.  I hope he sues.

      Actually Ricks could do more "damage" to Fox's rep (I know, LOL) if he cares to, by just sticking to his version of things about the Fox fabricated apology, and subsequently contacting Hollywood Reporter about their lack of verification with him.

      Hollywood Reporter may not care for the negative publicity on Politico either, showing them to be easily playable by some mid-level Fox NC exec.

        And gave Ricks an opening for Defamation and Slander when he stated that Ricks "could now get some rest" from his book tour. He actually inferred that Ricks would not be welcome back on the network with that little jab. If it pans out that Ricks is not invited back then that is what I call "damages" to his book and consultant income.
