Rove, who is one of the prime movers behind the TeaBaggers, just fell mightily out of favor with the Big Money.
He's been their star player for a decade and his recent fumble lost the big game. It's very likely that his credibility with his backers is down the sewer and with it goes most of his funding.
Without funding, the TeaBaggers evaporate (because they are not actually grass roots at all). The remnants of the Tea Party may stagger on for a while, but broken up, unfunded and not connected directly to the Media tit any more.
Meanwhile the GOP is looking at the (obvious) issue that their extreme wings have made the entire party unworkable in General Elections (aside from BushCheney, for which they had to steal the election, they've fielded nothing but fails since Reagan). It should be pretty obvious that if they want to get back to winning, they have to moderate their positions. That will anger their TeaBaggers (and the Jeebus crowd too).
If they want to run a viable campaign in 2016, they will have to finesse the TeaBaggers.

If I ran this circus, things would be DIFFERENT!
