What a joke that was.  "And Romney can get to 270 if he takes Iowa, Virgina, and Florida.  Or, if he gets New Hampshire, Minnesota, New Mexico, and North Carolina.  Or, if he gets Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Ohio, Michigan and Colorado.  Back to you."

I wanted to throw things at the TV.

Watching Chuck Todd move states and electoral votes, willy nilly, across the board, to create an interesting narrative, rather than report what was REALLY HAPPENING, was inexcusable from the world of "journalism."

What Chuck Todd ought to have been doing is showing the truth of the best aggregate pollsters, the best info we ALL had at our fingertips.  Which showed ALL ALONG, even in the bad week after the first presidential debate, that Obama was winning, slowly but consistently, and without much freaking doubt.

If I can know that, from my lowly home computer, then believe me, the journalistic world knew it too, and just refused to report it as such.

So then. We find ourselves at the mercy of "news people" who have goals not much different than reality TV.  Whatever is exciting and divisive, no matter the truth involved, goes.

Chuck Todd vs. the Housewives of WHEREVER.  What's the diff? Really, what the fuck is the diff?

They both chop and edit for the circus of it.

"A typical vice of American politics is the avoidance of saying anything real on real issues." Theodore Roosevelt.
