  •  Book reviews are often like that... (14+ / 0-)

When it can easily be discerned that the reviewer did not read the book, Amazon should delete the review.

Marking them unhelpful is the next best thing.

You may find yourself in a beautiful house, with a beautiful wife, and you may ask yourself, "How did I get here?"

    •  I agree. The newest reviews with one star (4+ / 0-)

seem to be from the Foxbots.  They can't even articulate anything in the book, and one isn't a review of the book at all but slams Ricks for what he said on Fox.

I marked them all "unhelpful" as well.  There was only 1 one-star review before the Fox appearance and the reviewer supported his reasoning.  Most were 4 and 5 stars.

      •  Disgusting that they would even do that (4+ / 0-)

See, it just proves FOX News (and indeed, the extreme right wing) is a fucking cult.

I hear a lot of crap I don't agree with on the TeeVee...and I don't go trashing people's books or inundating them with hate mail.

It's a cult.  This is how Scientology operates.  That is why it is impossible to deal with these people.

If FOX News went off the air - or at least, if the wind is taken out of their ridiculous partisan, conspiracy theory saturated, totally un-newsworthy sails - and some of that will go away.

or a me-too thing, but Dr. Laura did that with her books as well (got her listeners to uprate positive reviews and downrate negative ones).  It's beyond "freeping" a poll (note that comes from a rightist site) because they're messing with other people's opinions and rating books they haven't read.  That makes the ratings unreliable, which I guess they prefer over them being accurate.

Because we know reality has a left-wing bias.
