  •  Mornin' kids! Is it humpday? cool. (20+ / 0-)

Cheers to Bill and his beloved, and all the kiddies at the pool.  In spite of the glum-but -won't-snow weather, it's a pretty nice morning.  Hope yours is, too.

I voted that the year flew by, but not at mach one.  What?  That wasn't an option you say?  Oh, pshaw!

Cheers to "A Charlie Brown Christmas!! I've loved it since it first appeared, own it on DVD, and will watch it whenever it's on the teevee.  There is something both innocent and  mature in the story.  Plus, a Snoopy 'happy feet' dance!  Life can't get better than that...unless Snoopy were a pootie, in which case he wouldn't dance. ;-)

Cheers to filibuster reform.  Make it so.

Jeers to McCain and his crabby sidekicks.  They really shouldn't use the exact same wording in their talking points.  We get it.  They're troubled.  That statement is more true than any of them can imagine!!  Perhaps they should retire, resign, resign...and review history of the last thirty years.  Then they might understand why we are troubled by what happened in Beirut, Iraq, and a few dozen other places around the globe.

Jeers to untimely passing.  It makes my heart ache to see people hurting over the loss of a family member long before the time should come.  I'm not qualified to make those decisions in the Universe, but I am qualified to understand the pain involved.  Sometimes, it  sucks beyond the telling of it.  All we can do, is hold hands together in the dark and wait for the light.

Cheers to all the people who are willing to smile at strangers, laugh at silliness, and join in the fun.  All I'll add is that it involved "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree" and a rather goofy dance in the aisles of a local store.  Beyond that??  Wild horses can't drag it outta this kid!!

Cheers to all of us who love and are loved.  Nothing else compares.

We cannot call ourselves a civilised society if we refuse to protect the weakest among us.
