  •  The White Horse Prophecy is what Romney (5+ / 0-)

believed. And that rant/rambling spew is anything but a Beckistan myth -- Joseph Smith predicted the coming of this Rider On A White Horse in 1832.

    The White Horse Prophecy

And He is to be President of the United States.

This is horrendous example of Joseph Smith faking it, misusing sentences from the King James Bible. His plagiarism, here, is from Chapter 6 of the Book of Revelation. The problem is that he failed to connect the appearances of The Conqueror, who is this Rider on a White Horse, through the whole of the story.

1     And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.
2     And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
Christ and Satan are alternating actions. Christ opens a Seal. Satan responds with one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

Smith missed it, screwed the pooch. Considering that he had little education and no competent assistance, no surprise.

The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints has done the very least to clean up Smith's mess. They want to sell him as a perfect man. A Christian version of The Prophet Mohammad.

This White Horse Prophecy is uniquely pernicious. Poisonous to minds that already have a weakness for the traits that constitute narcissism. Mitt Romney, for one. He said that he was going to fulfill this prophecy when he was at prep school, then again in France as a missionary (to pagan/satanic Catholics, but that's another story), and at BYU in Provo.

LDS is vulnerable to criticism that it's hierarchy continues to act irresponsibly.

How can they be a Christian church, while proclaiming support for this final Anti-Christ ??? The Conqueror who enters with The Beast and is given 42 months to lay waste to the earth as a servant of Satan? LDS says WHP is not core doctrine, but never correct the central error or deny this is a godly prophecy.

The status of WHP is as strong today in Mormonism as at any time in history. Glenn Beck, for one, all but wallowed in WHP for his televised rants. Typically:

"...at a certain point, the Constitution would 'hang by a thread' and the leaders of the LDS Church would come forth to protect and restore the Constitution. Despite the continued controversy regarding the authenticity of this account, the White Horse Prophecy has been embraced by Mormon culture. Mitt Romney has denied that it is part of his own beliefs, despite his father’s own stance on the subject (he felt that Mormons would, in fact, save the Constitution). Glenn Beck has referred to this in his own crazed rants over and over. The White Horse prophecy is embedded into the very fabric of Mormonism."

No quality control, no quality. That applies to LDS, as to most all bureaucracies.

so, with that interpretation it is a TRUE prophecy and it has come to pass... Hardly-Lol-Yeah!  and the horseman dude? came and went... back in Dubya's years probably... 42 months-ish... lay waste? well the world is a bigger place than the author of Revelations knew... and the wastage is it war? been a fair bit of that.. or has it been unfettered banks and energy companies? They have laid waste and conquered far more than the Global war on Terror (or is that "Terra"?... fits better with that spelling of "Terror" spoken in a faux Texan accent )

Pogo & Murphy's Law, every time. Also "Trust but verify" - St. Ronnie (hah...)
