  •  Maybe she became a little concerned about (6+ / 0-)

her faith in O'Really? when she watched him during the run up to the election and then its aftermath. Seeing him pontificate about the reasons Romney lost might have made this woman begin to doubt his powers of analysis.

I don't think any real Fox viewer can be accused of critical thinking. That's not what they go there for. Fox viewers have to be comfortable with the biggest rationalizations to operate on a limited set of facts.

I have a brother in law who is a devoted BillO the Clown viewer, he emulates the mean spirited behavior and is generally an asshole. He wouldn't be caught dead near a theater showing such a movie, much less acknowledging that it changed his life.

buy the Fox story. I have known them for years, two of them are lifelong friends, and they have had successful lives in business and academia. But they buy the whole thing. I think I know why, but this comment is not the place to say it. So, just to be safe, we almost never discuss politics.

          if you don't mind.

95% of all life forms that once existed on earth are now extinct. It is only a matter of time until the Republicans follow suit.

often than not. Usually, I can deal with it, but right now I just want to enjoy the holidays. Thanks for your interest.

I have written a book about my theory and I will publish it soon. At that time I will write a diary or two summarizing the whole thing. I look forward to it, because I have worked on the book for many years, as sort of a hobby. But, I also dread it, because the hatred will just come boiling out from those who disagree.

        •  With my brother-in-law (6+ / 0-)

it's deep seated bigotry. He's only recently figured out that the "n" word isn't accepted as part of the vocabulary at my family gatherings. The craziest thing of all is how he railed against "illegals" right along with the Fox talking points a year or two ago. This guy has been married to my sister for well over 30 years. I am the only family member to have been born in the US. My sister has only recently obtained her citizenship. There is no rational reason to watch something that distorts reality like a funhouse mirror.
