    Such an early onset tumor likely has an inherited basis.  Moreover, if it is one of the well known genes the therapeutic options may change.

      diagnostics lab.  I had genetic testing done, BRAF & KRAS neg, & I'm MSS.  My friend (once a fellow in my department) is the head of a genetic testing facility in CA & once they get up and running they are going to run much more testing pro bono, provided I will be their poster girl if they find anything ;).  As it is right now, my daughters do not need genetic testing, only colonoscopies at 26.  Which is not so much fun but life-saving.

        Our genetics program has begun the process of transitioning to whole genome sequencing with the Ion Torrent.  But at this early stage, any results would not affect the standard of care.  Hang in there!
