    One note: Charities, I am pretty sure, have the right to give out money however they see fit. That doesn't mean it is right to do so, but it is permissible. The problem comes if the charity gets money from the government.

      money, unfortunately, they are allowed to discriminate. If they get federal money, they can't. Does anyone know how much (if any) Federal dollars the SA gets? Also, this ability to discriminate is the reason why I don't agree with the GOP's belief of "let private charities handle the poor, and get government out of the welfare business." Private charities CAN and WILL discriminate against certain groups of individuals. The government, by law, cannot discriminate.
