Yeah, it looks like a magnanimous gesture on Obama's part, but it's actually rubbing Romney's nose in his defeat.

Lunch in the White House private dining room. Poor Mittens was sooooo sure  he was going to be the host, not the guest. Heh.

... President Obama for lunch, especially in the "private" dining room.  Mitt appears to be a sore winner as well as a sore loser.  I'm sure that if had Rmoney won, a Democrat would not have seen the private areas of the White House for 4 years.

That being said, there is an 11-dimensional chess aspect to the President's offer.  Mitt will no doubt avail himself to the press after the lunch.  This will allow the President to show the public one more time how petty Mr. Rmoney is and how crazy the rethug policies are.  Mitt seems unable to prevent himself from sticking his foot in his own mouth, and the President probably wants to allow him to keep doing that.

I haven't been here long enough to be considered a Kossack, does that mean that I'm just a sack?

This is a kiss my ass if I have ever seen one.  The MINIMUM Romney probably expected was to be invited to a State Dinner.  Lunch, with NO reporters, no cameras, no nothing.  What it is, is Obama saying, why don't you come over and see what could have been if you weren't such a big self-absorbed jerk.  By the way, you will have to come through the front with the other visitors.  One of my Secret Service people will come down and get you.  You know that Romney wanted to do this as much as he wanted to lose the election, but you don't say no to the President, and get away with it.  Obama is relishing his victory, and GOOD FOR HIM.  I am proud as hell of the way he held his tongue and looked Presidential the ENTIRE time.  Romney was a loser from the beginning, and thought he could get away with everything, and finally people are seeing the Republicans for what they are....NOTHING.
