    That dumbass meme is killing us. Someone needs to slap him and and staff upside the head.

    We need a media/social media campaign to counter the meme and say clean energy = jobs, and public transit = jobs OVER and OVER and OVER.

      And no, not in the denialist way. Actually, it's about how this woman turned the notion that economy and climate were mutually exclusive on its head. Rather than attack climate change head on, she's changing the framing to entice skeptics.

      Obama could easily cite the incredible wind power boom and what it has done for the midwestern economies. We need to change the framing. Yes, we can create a green economy, and no, the economy will not survive environmental calamity. The idea of the economy being separate and independent of the environment is totally untenable in this day. Didn't Sandy prove that in just a matter of hours?

        The appeal to core values - thrift, patriotism, pride, stewardship - seems key to a lot of this.
