I have a ton of research I've been meaning to go through to write a Diary. See the Great Lake states (and I live in one) have a working group that has been meeting for years and years about what to do with our water. How to maintain it. Keep it clean.

We've known for a long, long time we have a lot of water and one day other states are going to come asking for it (happened a few years back when Atlanta wanted it). We keep asking the Feds and other states to join us, cause we spend tens and hundreds of billions keeping the water clean.

We want other states to help us now, not just arrive one day and say they need it. Cause at this point we know it has value and we'll tell you, like we did to Georgia, to go pound dirt.

When opportunity calls pick up the phone and give it directions to your house.

signed into law that protects the Lakes. Plus, Canada has to be on board w/ anything that moves water out of the GL Basin. Of course, when push comes to shove, anything can happen.

Another issue is too much water leaving the Basin - e.g., Western Chicago suburbs take water and release it to the West and the Chicago River (running backwards) takes water out of the Basin. These are examples of what needs to change.
