I was on vacation with my family in Hawaii a couple weeks before the election and my brother was very nervous about it and worrying about Mitt winning and wondering why I was so Zen about it. I told him, "Don't worry, Obama's ahead in all the key states. He's got this." He didn't believe me.

Getting a relieved text message from him on Election Night saying I was right was quite satisfying.

But this also makes all the predictions of a Romney landslide from the likes of Dick Morris and whatnot even more ludicrous. I know those guys were cherrypicking polls and ignoring ones they didn't like (or in the case of Morris, pulling them out of his mammoth ass), but even the best case scenarios only had Romney winning in a squeaker. His path to victory was a tightrope and it only took a loss in one state to push him off it. And he lost all of them.
