just so you know (and i know you do), only in America is the cat a house pet.  never will one see a "house" cat here.  the cat kills mice, insects, birds.  bueno.  you let the cat inside to kiss you with that mouth?  never happen. ;)

..I didn't know that.   For one thing where is "here"? ;)

I am aware that outside of the big cities and dense suburban areas many cats still "work" in the US.  But surely, outside of the US, some cats are kept as house pets as well?

Personally, although I respect and care about the welfare of cats I have no interest in keeping one as a house pet.

and the Cuban exile communities in Florida, but dear sofia, my "never" is an exaggeration.  (in every story, the fish gets bigger.)  some have pet cats inside and out, but most are either/or.  cat stays inside, or stays outside.

the rations cards for buying food in Cuba (since los communistas, el putas de hijos) would preclude ability to feed a cat.  they aren't enough for a person.

(i have heard this literally every time commercial for Fancy Feast cat food is on the television, as long as memory: "only in theees country!")

i too care about the well-being of cats, but would not want one, and if i did, inside only. ;)

actually keep humans as house pets. ; ) That's the way it really works.

how you close your eyes?  never seen Vicious Predators on Animal Planet?  the cat kills the bird.  he toys with it.  he tortures and slowly mutilates.

what he might do to you? it worries me.  cats aren't easy to read.

is this Libel in my Diary? None of these boys prey on other creatures. They are Good.

As for the kissing business, what about dogs? Creatures that, far as I can tell, dedicate their lives to frantically humping anything that moves, or doesn't; ravenously eating poop; rolling ecstatically in putrefying dead things; and loudly licking and sucking their genitals for hours on end.

      ; )
